Toeflex is a hybrid Gel system for toenails. It’s perfect for toenail reconstruction as it is lighter, stronger and easier to use than any traditional gel product used today. It’s also vegan-friendly and never tested on animals

Toeflex is a Hybrid Gel or poly-acryl gel product that is used to create new toenails. It utilises the latest in nail technology and is a combination of traditional light cured resins, known as hard gels and classic acrylics.

Acrylics are a self curing system, made up of a liquid and powder, which when mixed together ’go off’ or self cure. This curing process takes up to 24 hours and can feel uncomfortable or pinch on the nail plate. Traditional hard gels contain a photoinitiator and this breaks down when exposed to UV/LED light in the form of a light unit, causing the gel to harden in 1 or 2 minutes. During the curing time heat is generated due to the molecular activity of the process.

Toeflex is completely different from this. It ‘cool cures’ and creates no heat and once Toeflex has cured, it won’t continue to cure and is comfortable on the nails. 

Providing a solution to unsightly, damaged and diseased toenail has become a mainstream activity for modern foot care professionals. Clients no longer accept that their nails can’t look good while they are recovering from a mycotic, dystrophic or traumatic nail etc. If foot care practices don’t offer this service, clients will seek out other solutions to their aesthetic problems.

HYGIENIC - Toeflex is delivered in a 30ml tube. It has a thick, paste-like texture and you will only dispense from the tube what you need to work with. You will use a simple, easy to clean spatula to remove the Toeflex from the tube. You are able to keep the product in good condition as there is no risk of spillage, dust contamination or accidentally curing your gel if you leave it in the sun or near your light unit. 

COST EFFECTIVE - As you only dispense what you need from the tube, you won’t waste any Toeflex product. It is possible to create approximately 30 big toe nails from a 30ml tube as a little goes a long way. We don’t advocate the use of disposable brushes as these will end up in the landfill. We try to consider the environmental impact of what we do in our daily work. Neither do we mix Toeflex to colour match. A Toeflex reconstruction is a temporary fixture, and not permanent like a crowned tooth, for example. The colours available are sufficient for most clients' needs. Often they will want to paint their nails too. You will find it a very cost effective system to work with. Toeflex costs 50% less than competitor brands of gel

● COOL CURING - Unlike traditional hard gels, there is no exothermic reaction when curing the Toeflex Hybrid Gel under an LED light unit. This reaction is created by friction of the molecules and the breakdown of the photoinitiator causing the product to harden from a soft gel to fully cured. This heat build up during the hardening process is very real and can be quite painful. It can cause heat blisters on the nail bed. Toflex does not create any heat on curing, it is a cool cure product. We can confidently use Toeflex on a client with peripheral neuropathy as we know it is cool curing and will not create an exothermic reaction. Diabetics are not contraindicated for nail reconstructions using Toeflex. 

● EASY - As there is no mixing of powder and liquid or runny gel products to create special blends. You will find Toeflex very fast and easy to work with. Generally Toeflex is applied in one layer. Application techniques will be covered in the practical workshop. Toeflex gives you unlimited working time, to allow you to create beautiful nails without worrying that the product will set or start to go off. It has a paste- like consistency, so you will find that it is very easy to manipulate and it will not run into the sulcus or to any point on the nail that you don’t want it to go. Toeflex is very user-friendly. You will have complete control of the product. 

● FLAWLESS – Toeflex is so easy to work with. During your practical work you will learn 3 different techniques to help you achieve a flawless finish every time you apply it. It is still possible to file over the cured Toefex to refine your shaping, and this is generally done with a ceramic burr. The flawless finish can be achieved by completing the nail with the Toeflex Elastic Top Coat. The Toeflex Elastic Top Coat is thicker in consistency than nail polish, for example. It will assist you by hiding any tiny imperfections or file marks if they are left on the surface. The surface will be smooth, shiny, scratch resistant and long lasting. If you wish to offer a matt finish for your client, perhaps a male client, you can simply omit the Elastic Top Coat phase.
