This reaction is created by friction of the molecules and the breakdown of the photoinitiator causing the product to harden from a soft gel to fully cured. This heat build up during the hardening process is very real and can be quite painful. It can cause heat blisters on the nail bed. Toflex does not create any heat on curing, it is a cool cure product. We can confidently use Toeflex on a client with peripheral neuropathy as we know it is cool curing and will not create an exothermic reaction.
